WZCC Toronto Chapter hosted its first Annual Holiday Networking Party on 7th Dec 2019.
The event was hosted by Shopify Toronto, located in the famous entertainment district on King Street.
We had 16 attendees, of which 6 were under of the 30. The Holiday party started promptly at 7:00pm with light refreshments, drinks and a short meet and greet, followed by a small introduction by Afreed Mistry about the purpose and goal of the WZCC Toronto Chapter.
.The evening then moved onto 30 minutes of speed networking, where attendees were asked to perform a short bio about themselves, Which included stuff like: ‘Where they are currently working, some challenges they may be facing with their current role and how we could help eacother source creative solutions to address these challenges’.
Each participant took turns making their way down the tables, speed networking with others for 5 minutes each. Due to the high demand to continue speed networking, smaller groups were formed and further conversations took place in breakout sessions, accompanied by dinner and drinks.
The evening concluded with a short address by our Toronto President, Cyrus Patel and a raffle and prizes.
Prizes: (4 Tickets to the CN Tower & a $50.00 gift certificate to Ascari Enoteca.
This was our fourth event, in our very first year of operations and our WZCC Canada team, ( Cyrus Patel –  President, Arashasp Shroff –  Secretary, Meherwan Wadia – Treasurer, Afreed Mistry –  Consultant, Dilnavaz Shroff –  Director, takes this opportunity to wish all our Toronto Members and our guests a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic and prosperous New Year ahead!
