The prosperity of a community is linked to its businesses. To reignite the spirit of entrepreneurship in the Zarathushti community in the Middle East region, particularly Dubai/UAE where 1300 Zoroastrians reside, a new Chapter was incepted by Meher Bhesania in the year 2003 in Dubai. The founding team comprised of Barjor Bajan, Oofrish Contractor, Cyrus Magol and Kersy Bhesania. Meher remained the President and International Director until 2009.

In keeping with the vision and mission of WZCC, high profile events are organized from time to time. All functions are held at prestigious venues. Several speakers of international repute are invited locally and from overseas. The WZCC Global AGM was hosted twice in Dubai – once in 2009 concurrently with the World Zoroastrian Congress and thereafter in 2014 along with the Enterprise Dubai event. These two events offered the Zoroastrian businessmen and professionals an opportunity to explore career and business opportunities that Dubai offers as a travel-cum-business destination, being conveniently located on the crossroads of Asia, Europe and Africa. Mounted on a large scale, both these events were attended by around 1000 and 800 people respectively, including Royalty from Dubai, senior government officials and leading businessmen. For those who have not visited this region, Dubai remains a mysterious land. However the truth is – this land is a land of great opportunity!

In Oct 2016, yet another event titled ‘Dubai Pravasi Yatra’ was organized by WZCCME. This was a totally new program designed for Zoroastrians worldwide to enjoy the sightseeing attractions that Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer and to see firsthand how Dubai was preparing itself to host the World Expo 2020. A special track was designed for businessmen to explore business opportunities. This included a visit to the Free Zone which offers 100% foreign company ownership and 100% repatriation of capital and profits. Formal advice was offered to entrepreneurs who wished to start their own business in the UAE.
